Baba House proudly showcases an age-old community that still thrives in this modern day. While preserving its architectural heritage and Peranakan cultural values, we wish to enhance our guests’ experience with stellar guest service and modernised facilities.
Here, as our guest, you have complete privileged access to our Bilek Bacha Library (Reading Chamber), which displays in-depth cultural insights into the Baba and Nyonya community. Our rooftop also allows you to catch the interesting sights of Melaka’s bustling life and neighbouring ancient buildings.
Decked out with contemporary furniture for entertainment and relaxation, our main highlight of this rooftop venue is the tanning pools that allow you to dip your feet as you enjoy your favourite drinks and desserts from the Kaki Minom Bar.
Note: The rooftop area is currently closed for upgrading works, and these facilities are not available at the moment.
Just across from the 100-year old Opium Bed displayed in the courtyard, you may walk into the Bilek Bacha Library for some leisure reading of Peranakan heritage books, or to plan for upcoming trips. In the library, you will find traditional board games to challenge the little ones.
Our banquet hall and function rooms are designed for comfort, flexibility, and productivity. The beautiful column-less banquet hall is ideal for weddings set in the backdrop of the romantic UNESCO neighbourhood. The event space captures natural lighting and features peranakan designed elements that will surely leave a lasting and fond memory.
